Glenshira at Tarbert Bay, Dura 1959. Unloading coal at Lord Astor estate. Coal was loaded into flat bottom coal boats which were then rode ashore and loaded into carts which were pulled by horses. If you look carefully you will spot a West Highland terrier who was owned by Rory Darroch who named her Fruech ('Heather').
